I'm an experienced Mechanical Technologist with extensive experience in proposal management, pressure vessel design, heat exchanger selection and design, chemical process design, and instrumentation selection and sizing. In addition to this, I have extensive experience generating fully developed estimates and proposals for equipment, modules, and facilities for the oil and natural gas manufacturing sector. Some examples of plants I have designed, sized, and priced include- Turboexpander (Deep Cut) plants using a variety of process schemes- Amine Sweetening using MDEA and formulated derivatives for varying degrees of CO2 slip- Mechanical Refrigeration (Shallow Cut) plants using screw compressor using propane and ammonia- Dehydration packages using Molecular Sieve, Triethylene Glycol, and Calcium Silicate based technologies- Packaging reciprocating and screw compressors- Sulfur recovery using the Claus process. In addition to this, I have- Developed in house pressure vessel and heat exchanger estimating software- Created pricing tracker software for in house use- Created both excel based and simulation based sizing tools to enhance productivity- Led the in house implementation of the B149.3 burner code- Developed estimates for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, steel structures, instrumentation, and valving- Created, reviewed, and modified Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P & IDs) to accurately express our proposed scope of work, including sizing of piping and valves. My experience also includes extensive use of- MS Office (predominantly Excel and Word) including VBA programming - Aspen Hysys, Promax, VMG and Symmetry- Aspen Exchanger Design and Rating (EDR) and HTRI xIst heat exchanger design software - Codeware Compress for pressure vessel design and registration - Ariel, Howden, Frick, and Mycom Compressor sizing programs - Sulzer and Koch Glitsch tower internal rating software in addition to developing in house tools to streamline this process.
