Hi! My name is Andrew and I have been tutoring high school Biology and Chemistry for about three years and have developed my skills rigorously over that duration. I have a passion for teaching and aim to become a high school teacher. I have a Single-Subject Credential from CSULB in Biology and plan to add Chemistry. Once I finish long-term substitute teaching this school year I aim to find a full-time teaching position. My goal for students is to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in order for them to become better learners especially in this era where students are trying to reintegrate into in-person learning after learning remotely. I strongly oppose passive learning techniques where the students inevitably learn to memorize rather than learning to deeply understand concepts they have been exposed to in the classroom.
