Background

About Andrew Vascellaro

I am a Political Science graduate with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Philosophy, Law, and Public Policy. In my time in college, my coursework was mostly focused on urban policy, criminal justice and law, and financial policy. In the course of my studies, I shadowed judges and observed cases at the Monroe County Hall of Justice in Rochester. I also took data and statistics classes, where I learned statistical analysis and also had to use the R coding language. Furthermore, I learned research methods and writing on multiple topics including financial regulation, social movements, and urban policy. I have worked as a Financial Services Associate at New York Community Bank where I engaged with customers, serving their financial needs through processing their transactions and servicing their accounts. I have experience in customer service, answering phones, communicating with other departments when needed to ensure smooth operations, and proper filing and scanning of documentation to fulfill company needs and compliance with local, state, and federal laws. I currently work as an Alternative Investments Operations and Reporting Associate at Joel Isaacson & Co.
