About Andrew Wait

Attended St. Augustine College at secondary level and pursued my studies in Accounting and Economics at St. Aloysius sixth form. I continued my studies at the University of Malta obtaining a Master in Accountancy, graduating following the submission of my dissertation entitled 'Crowdfunding as an Alternative Source of Finance for Maltese Local Councils'. My first job was at DConsulta Ltd. were I was responsible for some primary office work, which served me well for the following job at Grant Thornton Malta. I have been with Grant Thornton for six summers as an intern, and have just reached a two-year milestone as a full timer with the firm. I presently form part of the Transaction Advisory team at Grant Thornton. At Grant Thornton, we service a varied portfolio of Maltese and overseas clients. My main area of focus at Grant Thornton is corporate finance. The main focus jobs include business plans, feasibility studies, valuations, financial due diligence, and market research. I am also responsible for the tendering process with the corporate finance arm, in preparation for the drafting of public and private offering documentation. I also work alongside the other service arms at the firm, namely the tax and legal teams, providing input for projects and business plans.
