At Napier City Council (NCC), I lead and support the implementation of health and safety strategies and policies across the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. I provide advice, guidance, and training to managers and staff on health and safety matters, and conduct internal and contractor audits, investigations, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards and incidents. With over 15 years of experience in operational and manufacturing processes, I have a strong background in energy and chemical operations, including the operation of 6MW steam turbine, mining industry construction, and heavy machine operation. I have successfully implemented Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) into large-scale operations. I am passionate about making organisations the benchmark for workplace safety through practical, conscientious and integrated health and safety solutions that align with the organisation’s strategic goals and values.
