About Andrew Watkins

My initial decision to pursue a career in journalism came mostly on a whim. Like many college students, I was uncertain about which path to follow and, with a knack for writing and a love of sports, I figured sports journalism would be a fun, rewarding career. Thus far, I've been proven correct. Seeing my byline, especially on stories I worked particularly hard on, remains immensely gratifying. With a focus in print journalism, I've had well over 100 stories published in two newspapers, Penn State's student-run Daily Collegian and Wilkes-Barre's Citizens' Voice. In that time I've never missed a deadline. I also spent a semester as Editor In Chief of Penn State Wilkes-Barre's student-run newspaper, The Revolt. My copy is consistently clean and I pride myself on highlighting the most interesting aspect of whatever I might be covering.
