About Andrew Webb

I’m Andrew Webb, a senior at Miami University’s Farmer School of Business, majoring in Supply Chain and Operations Management with a minor in Accounting. I’ve always had a strong interest in problem-solving and process improvement, and that’s helped me learn a lot in logistics, inventory management, and data analysis. Through my internship with The Tranzonic Companies, I’ve had the opportunity to work on real-world supply chain challenges, including optimizing product coverage after a warehouse closure, analyzing shipping costs and zone data to improve efficiency and manage costs, as well as helping to manage discontinued inventory in a way that supports smooth transitions and accurate planning. I also worked on coordinating inventory transfers between facilities, ensuring timely product availability while minimizing disruptions. Throughout these projects, I gained hands-on experience with Microsoft D365, learning how to navigate and update system data to support operational accuracy and workflow efficiency. I also had the chance to participate in a Kaizen event, where I collaborated cross-functionally to identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement strategies. These experiences deepened my interest in logistics and confirmed that I want to build a career in that space; focusing on how products move, how costs can be controlled, and how operations can be streamlined. In a previous internship focused on quality assurance, I worked on improving document control systems and helped ensure product standards were consistently met. On campus, I serve as VP of Recruitment for the Miami Equity Research Club and am a member of Phi Chi Theta, a professional business fraternity that has helped me grow both professionally and personally through networking, leadership, and mentorship opportunities. Through both academics and hands-on experience, I’ve built an array of applicable skills, as well as a solid understanding of financial and operational principles. I’m excited to continue building on these foundations and contribute to efficient, data-informed logistics and supply chain teams.
