Experienced Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the wine and spirits industry. Skilled in Management, Leadership, Viticulture and Policy, Advocacy and Strategic thinking. Strong business development professional with a B.Ag.Sc. focused in Viticulture and Horticulture from University of Adelaide. Andrew spent his childhood in Renmark, in the Riverland area of South Australia. Working on fruit properties to earn some money during school holidays led to completing a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Degree at Adelaide University, gaining a science–based understanding of agriculture. Andrew has experience in technical viticulture, vineyard and business management, and served as the Senior Viticulture officer for CCW Co-operative, a grower group that produces 10% of the national annual grape crush. He led a collaborative grape growing group selling fruit and contracting winemaking and sales on their behalf. He held the position of CEO of the National grower advocacy body Wine Grape Growers Australia, leading the transition to become Australian Vignerons, and gaining experience in national advocacy, policy, biosecurity, and research and extension strategy and priorities.
