About Andrew Wight

An enthusiastic Space Engineering Masters graduate at the University of Surrey. Looking to expand and develop skills and gain experience. During my time at Coventry University I had the opportunity to work in diverse groups, as well as pursue work individually. This allowed me to pursue my studies at the University of Surrey through a postgraduate course in Space Engineering, where I am pursuing my passion for space and exploration. Since moving from South Africa when I was seven years old I have been fascinated by the mechanisms which caused the plane to fly. Later I became interested in space travel technologies, particularly theoretical improvements to space and air travel. During my studies at King Edward VI Aston I developed an interest in physics and further expanded my wish to explore the stars. Whilst there I did individual research on theories and technologies involved in space travel. A more Terrestrial interest was sparked on my acceptance into Coventry University due to the ability to work closely with an aircraft. My passion for space has been rekindled since undertaking a project designing a CubeSat with the intent of studying the effects of the inner van allen belt on electronics.
