About Andrew Wildrix

Starting out on helpdesk for Windows 3.1.1 support, I became passionate about problem solving. I was blessed to land a role in telecommunications during the CLEC era and rapidly learned the world of networks. Being able to straddle the world of systems and networks led me to the consulting space in the SMB market and then an architect role with SBC Internet. I grew my knowledge until I became a Principal Engineer with AT & T Labs (New Technology Introduction and Development). I took early retirement from AT & T to pursue opportunities in the startup world, where I adapted my learnings to support cloud computing, software development, and lean agile methodologies. My last 2 engagements leaned heavily on the cybersecurity and AI realm, and I further expanded my knowledge and skills to include strategic partnerships, budgeting, international business, compliance, and taking startups through the VC marketplace. I managed all of this by being able to connect resources and build successful teams in both the military and business environments. Being able to take complex ideas, explain them to the highest and lowest denominators, and manage the resources to bring those ideas to life is where I derive my greatest satisfaction.
