I am Andrew Wu, a professional with substantial experience spanning both visual art design and production operations. I currently serve as a Pre-Production Coordinator at ArcOne, a division of Arc'teryx. Current Role: Production and Coordination My current role’s core focus is Production and Coordination. My primary responsibility as the Pre-Production Coordinator is to ensure the smooth, continuous operation of the production lines. I achieve this by: Acting as the primary liaison between my department and various production lines. I diligently collect and report issues back for prompt resolution, which guarantees the lines operate normally. Leading the Embroidery and Bundling team. I manage our daily operations, which includes planning and scheduling production orders and monitoring daily progress to ensure timely completion within deadlines. I also efficiently coordinate with key support departments like Cutting, Engineering, and Sample to quickly identify and resolve technical issues. This demands highly effective time management skills to maintain a steady output and prevent production variations or delays. Design Background Before joining Arc'teryx, I gained eight years of valuable experience as a Graphic Designer in Beijing, China. My professional training began with a Diploma in Graphic Design from Capital Normal University (2007-2010), and I further enhanced my expertise by earning a Certificate in Advanced Graphic Designing from Crystal Stone Digital Technology Co.(2011-2012). I possess a proven ability to develop graphic designs to meet production goals, and I am competent in turning concepts into visual designs using best solutions. I was responsible for: Developing creative designs for accessories and delivering graphic design products to meet customer expectations and brand guidelines for retail sector clients. Designing brochures, posters, and editing videos to popularize courses. Managing creative graphic design projects for products, packaging, exhibitions, and events, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. Key Skills and Proficiency Regarding my skills, I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop, and I have excellent design judgment in typography, design, and layout. My strengths include strong collaboration skills—working effectively with leaders, colleagues, and clients in Canada and China—and the ability to speak national standard Mandarin.
