About Andrey Uverskiy

I’ve been telling stories through my camera for over a decade. After graduating from Norwich University of the Arts with a degree in Photography in 2014, I dove straight into the industry, capturing everything from branding campaigns to restaurant culture. In 2016, I became the lead photographer at Adwaiz, a social media agency startup, where I honed my skills in visual storytelling for brands. Three years later, in 2019, I founded Best in Hel, a platform dedicated to showcasing Helsinki’s restaurant scene. Through this project, I’ve collaborated with some of the city’s top-rated restaurants, highlighting their unique flavors and stories. My work extends beyond food—I’ve had the chance to collaborate with brands like Puma, Huawei, and Alpine Racing Team, proving that great visuals transcend industries. In 2022, I helped co-found Munchi, a startup that recently secured an €800K pre-seed round and placed in the Top 50 at the Slush startup competition. Then in 2024, I expanded Best in Hel into a mobile app, designed to spotlight Helsinki’s hidden gems and help both locals and visitors experience the city in a new way. That same year, I became the official partner of the Little Italy Festival in Helsinki and Tampere, leading the promotion and marketing for the event. In 2025, we successfully expanded it to Turku.
