About Andrzej Olszewski

Senior banking professional with over 30 years of professional track record in Poland, across the CEE and in the UK. He has held senior management positions with multinational banks (Societe Generale and ING) in industrial, private equity and FIG clients coverage, as well as in IB products contexts. He has extensive experience advising clients in large transactions spanning M&A, Equity and debt capital markets. This has allowed him to become a trusted advisor to the clients’ boards facing transformational situations in the domestic and international markets, such as strategic acquisitions and disposals or equity and debt raisings (including initial public offerings of shares and debut DCM placements) Andrzej has worked with clients from several industries, but he has special expertise in utilities (traditional and renewable energy, including offshore wind projects), industrial manufacturing (e.g. mobility or cables for renewable energy), oil & gas (across the whole value chain), TMT (telecoms, media, technology, online services) and FMCG. On the FIG side, he combines the knowledge of banks and their regulatory challenges, as well as insurers and asset managers. He has worked with private equity sponsors on their investments, financings and exits. He also gained considerable experience advising corporate and FIG clients on ESG matters. Since 2013 he is a Senior Banker and member of the Executive Committee with Societe Generale’s branch in Poland. He is also a member of the global community of business leaders at Societe Generale. Prior to SG he spent 16 years with ING (ex ING Barings), most recently as Management Board member of its equity brokerage and ECM/M&A business in Poland. Prior to his banking career, he spent 4 years in FMCG distribution in Poland and 2 years as a civil engineering and management trainee in the UK. He worked in or with clients in Poland, the UK, Slovenia, Czech Rep, Ukraine, Spain and Russia. He holds MSc title in Civil Engineerieng from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), EMBA degree from WUT’s School of Business (joint programme with LBS and HEC). He also completed AMP programme at IESE. He speaks fluently Polish and English.
