About Andy Aleksic

A self-motivated project manager with in-depth knowledge and experience of the embedded product development lifecycle, an energetic problem solver with strong customer facing and negotiation skills. An adaptable team player who has worked on projects and led small teams in the UK, Europe and USA and is proficient in German, French and Italian. I have been developing software in the telecommunications industry for the last 18 years, in production test and Unix system development for another 4 years. I have concentrated on the GSM/GPRS/WCDMA/LTE mobile phone systems, developing software for many applications within the system, latterly leading a team working closely with and delivering support to worldwide customers and partners, then overseeing multiple projects in a management / governance role. In my most recent positions I have been instrumental in improving engineering process, focus and value through application of the fundamental project management principles of frequent reviews and alignment with business strategy. My career objective is to concentrate on project management of the development of embedded software products, i.e. bringing together multi-disciplinary teams and leveraging my experience in mobile phone development and support. Ideally, I would be involved in the early phases of the project. I am happy to take my time to find the right opportunity and am not averse to taking on short term contracts e.g. in pure development or test whilst searching for the best position.
