About Andy Barillas

I've worked in the industry of Merchant services for almost 9 years and have learned a great deal of different roles while in this business. I started as a customer service representative and learned how to properly engage and to make the merchant have an experience they would never forget. Then I worked in the data entry department as a Boarding Specialist and made sure that all the applications were entered correctly and in a timely manner to ensure that productivity was always met. Then I worked in the Leasing Department as a Lease Boarding Specialist assisting the merchants in the process of leasing their credit card terminals. During this time, I also worked as the Team Lead and made sure that the work was being disbursed evenly to my team to produce the highest productivity possible. As the Team Lead, I would work closely with the ISO reps and Relationship Managers to make sure that all escalations and issues were resolved and handled at the lowest level. I would provide ideas on how to improve certain processes and systems we used, so that the service and experience we provided could be better than the last one they received. I'm also currently in the Air National Guard, which has taught me incredible core values that I make sure to incorporate in my every day life. Those values are Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do. This has made a tremendous difference in every area of my life. Also, I have learned that a leader is not just someone who knows how to give orders but, one who works together with his men to get the job done and guides them into their purpose.
