About Andy Blackett
Head of Maths at UTC South Durham in Newton Aycliffe with over 15 years of classroom experience. I lead a team of four teachers, and together we’ve achieved outstanding outcomes in both GCSE and A Level Maths. Our A Level Maths results rank in the top 5% nationally for progress based on average GCSE points, and our most recent GCSE cohort achieved more than 0.3 grades of positive progress against expected outcomes.I’ve taught across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering the full range of A Level Maths and Further Maths modules.I’m also the founder and chief resource developer at M4TH5.co.uk, a platform I’ve built to share high-quality maths resources including question packs, practice exam papers, flashcards and more — designed to support both teachers and students in achieving their best.
