About Andy Dongjun Kim

Andy Kim earned his BA in Law at Korea University(2003) and he's currently joining Aalto Executive MBA programs linked with Aalto Univ in Helsinki, Finland. He is currently Deputy Director at KOTRA New York. He was director for CSR and Public procurement in KOTRA Cambodia-Phnom Penh office. He's focusing on developing and supporting Korean enterprises CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) programs in Cambodia and joining procurement programs of International organizations and NGOs for developing Cambodian infrastructure and industry. He was a manager in charge of business development and promotion at KOTRA-Detroit office since Aug 2009. He's also on KOTRA’s Global Partnership(GP) program. His primary interest had been automotive industry specializing in promotion of supply chain innovation between Korea and US, taking advantage of Korea-US FTA(Free trade agreement). He is a member of SAA(Society of Automotive Analyst) based on metro-Detroit, KCAM(Korean companies association in Michigan) and KPAI(Korean-American professionals association in the automotive industry). Before he joined KOTRA-Detroit, he worked at the Planning & Coordination Dept. in KOTRA headquarter in Seoul, Korea, where he was an assistant manager for KOTRA’s BOD(the board of directors) operation and government relations especially with the Knowledge economy committee in the Assembly of the Republic of Korea. Between 2005 & 2006, he worked at the Korea trade center, Daegu-Gyeongbuk located in his hometown, Daegu city, where he was a mid-small sized company global-promotion specialist focusing on auto components and textile manufacturing. Daegu is the third largest city in Korea and famous for auto and textile industry cluster. The city is also famous for the location of start-up of the global leader in ICT, Samsung Group back in 1938. KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) is a non-profit governmental agency to promote and facilitate trade and investment activities between foreign countries and Korea.
