I am gratefully able to utilize my interest in and excitement for molecular genetics to interpret variants identified in pediatric patients via next-generation sequencing. Through my role at Lurie Children's, I also communicate about abnormal results to clinical providers with varying levels of experience with Genetics. My role at Lurie Children's has also allowed me to begin to specialize in the interpretation of variants associated with connective tissue disorders and RASopathies. I now also serve as a bio lcurator for the ClinGen FBN1 Variant Curation Expert Panel to contribute to the clarification of classifications and ultimately aid in improved clinical utility of genetic testing for Marian syndrome and related conditions.
