Andy Ellsmore is a licensed Professional Geologist and the Principal of Ellsmore Environmental, Inc, a specialized environmental consulting firm with a strong focus on stormwater compliance, permitting, and program development. With over 20 years of experience in environmental geology and hydrogeology, Andy brings practical, science-based solutions to complex regulatory challenges across California and the United States. He has led and supported a wide range of projects involving stormwater management, industrial stormwater permits, pollution prevention, and BMP implementation, in addition to projects involving petroleum, chlorinated solvents, and agrochemicals. Andy is known for his ability to bridge technical, regulatory, and client needs—delivering efficient, actionable strategies that keep projects compliant and on track. As a trusted consultant, Andy works closely with industrial operators, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to interpret and navigate ever-evolving stormwater regulations. His deep understanding of the California Industrial General Permit (IGP) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans helps clients minimize risk, reduce pollutants, and meet permit requirements with confidence.
