FBC Manby Bowdler:In my current role I assist with company and commercial law matters which include: advice on starting a business, buying and selling businesses, director and shareholder advice, business future planning and succession, banking and finance and general business law advice.I undertook the CILEx to Solicitor route to qualification and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2021.Weightmans: For almost three years I handled my own caseload of 250 pre-litigation Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims. I was a member of my office’s CSR committee for almost three years and Treasurer for one of these. As Treasurer my responsibilities involved keeping track of payments made and received in relation to an annual budget.Study:After studying law at the University of Birmingham I completed the Legal Practice Course on a part time basis, funding it from my part time earnings. Outside of work:I am passionate about cricket. I am an ECB Level One and Level Two qualified cricket coach and I voluntarily coached cricket to children aged from six to fifteen for twelve years. I have played cricket for twenty one years and captained a senior cricket team for the last nine years. I won the Young Coach of the Year in the Staffordshire Cricket Outstanding Services to Cricket Awards 2014. In 2015 I was involved in setting up a visually impaired cricket team called Staffordshire Wolves. In recognition of my contribution to cricket in the local area I was named Community Champion at the Wolverhampton Law Society Awards 2018.
