About Andy Goodwin

I am an experienced international infrastructure professional who has lived and worked in Africa, Europe, and Asia concentrating in the fields of energy (both as owners engineer and EPC contractor) and urban infrastructure. I have either managed large power facilities, or have project managed large multi-million dollar projects mostly for international clients. My energy experience also includes renewable energy projects. My strengths are in leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams in a highly technical and complex environment in a way that maximises value to the client. In many instances, this requires managing many interfaces between the client, partners, investors and contractors. In addition to my actual technical skill and know how, I can also bring exceptional organisational skills in communication, human resource management, administration and financial control. In the past years I have had the chance to work closely with company owners, senior executives, bankers and investors and officials from the many different public sector institutions required for a successful project. I therefore believe I clearly understand the needs of the clients. I have also been part of a very successful Executive Management team, and as such have had the opportunity to work with the Board, thereby understanding the dynamics of what makes Boards function as they do. In my executive role, I have also developed and implemented business strategies that have led to excellent growth and profitability improvements. Over the years, I have also been part of the acquisition and merger of multiple companies, and therefore understand what it takes for a successful M&A process.
