Recently retired U.S. Army general with more than 27 years of experience building and leading diverse, cohesive teams in a wide variety of settings at home and abroad, in peace and war. Sustained record of enabling organizational success through careful fostering of positive organizational culture with an emphasis on leveraging emotional intelligence, active listening, strategy design & implementation, talent management/leader development of subordinates, and team building centered on two-way trust. Culminating leadership assignments include leading a very successful, decentralized and worldwide risk management program/campaign, managing very large budgets in excess of $200M, training strategy formulation and execution for a large organization in excess of 18k Soldiers, and city management of the Army's 5th largest installation. Advocate for veterans and military families, with extensive experience developing veterans hiring programs. Special needs parent forced to fight for due process in multiple states and school systems, I have a passion for assisting those with disabilities and enabling them to maximize their talents and opportunities.
