About Andy Howarth

I’ve always been motivated most by helping brands be true to themselves, as to me there’s nothing more powerful. Many organisations, from start-ups to giant corporations, often struggle to recognise who they really are and how to make that interesting. No matter what the brand, when you dig deeper it’s all there – the unique attributes, stories, people, benefits – it’s just not always communicated. At least not in a consistent, confident, or memorable way. I’ve worked in some of the most brilliant creative agencies in London, but often the more complicated an agency structure, the more a brand’s essential truth can be diluted. With work that reflects agency dogma rather than the brand, multiple agendas and internal politics. This can all disrupt what should be a clear-eyed, focused process. I enjoy and believe in creating brand communications that are grounded in a brand’s reality, in a way that hits home. This is also, as has been proven many times, the key to increased sales. At Gravy we refer to it as Brand Integrity. Much is changing right now, but the importance of this isn’t. In fact, it’s even more vital, now that we have a new, all-seeing AI audience to satisfy.
