His expertise includes commercialising strategic client relationships, market entry and distribution strategies, marketing transformation and ESG. He combines this with a deep knowledge of the key trends impacting all sectors of the investments industry. Andrew enjoyed a 22-year career at Standard Life Aberdeen where he was Group Chief Marketing Officer and Global Head of Strategic Clients. He was a member of company’s management committee, client committee, conduct committee, and enterprise risk committee. He was a certified function holder (CF29) under the FCA’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime, leading through a period of unprecedented change and M&A activity. He is now an independent advisor working with CEOs, Boards, executive teams and investors to drive value creation - either in a non-executive or advisory capacity. He currently advises the CEO of leading independent investment consultancy on their growth strategy. He advises the CEO/Board of an award-winning FinTech (Aveni.ai) on distribution. He is also the independent non-executive chair of the ESG Committee for River and Mercantile, a specialist asset management firm. Andrew started his career in consulting with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and EY and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Aberdeen.
