Started a four year electrical apprenticeship in 1986 qualified in 1990. Started in the street lighting business with Cartledge Lighting in 1994. Left the lighting industry in 2004 to become a qualified air conditioning engineer which I achieved in 2005. Rejoined the street lighting sector with PSR Lighting in 2011 and am now a Contracts Manager looking after 30+ sites. In 2016 I was asked to fill the role of training manager at PSR lighting. This includes maintaining portfolios, booking training, site audits and competence checks. I am also taking an active role in the compliance of the company, becoming versed on HEA and ISO requirements.
