About Andy Keir

I currently head up a team of UK based lawyers, paralegals and patent attorneys which supports the commercial, corporate, compliance, HR, and operational activities of Cirrus Logic around the globe. As Vice President, International Legal Operations, I oversee the provision of legal and strategic advice and support for the business and operations of Cirrus Logic globally, with a focus on our UK/EU and AsiaPac based R&D, sales and manufacturing operations. I have responsibility for global (non-US) corporate secretarial matters, and manage/support a broad spectrum of governance and compliance matters (e.g. GDPR, CSR, Gender Pay Gap). I also sit on our UK Employee Pension and Benefits Committee. The UK team has a broad range of expertise including: 1. Corporate compliance (e.g. GDPR, CSR, Gender Pay Gap) 2. Contracts. Specialist in technology transactions, including hardware sales, software licensing, R&D / joint development, IT procurement and services agreements 3. IP development, protection and exploitation. Software licensing, open source. Employment/HR advice, contracts, policies, compliance, pensions, restructuring 5. Real estate, construction contracts 6. M&A, internal group restructuring, global CoSec. Our UK team also coordinates and delivers training on topics such as IP/Software/Open Source, Anti-Bribery, GDPR, and ethics/compliance issues, and takes an active role on various internal governance groups, including those relating to IT/Security, and Supply Chain Management/CSR.
