I am an experienced researcher and academic administrator. I have been a faculty member of the Department of Engineering Physics at McMaster University since 2003, and was appointed Associate Vice-President Research for a five-year term starting July 2021. From 2018 to 2021 I was Director of the McMaster Centre for Emerging Device Technologies (CEDT). From 2019 to 2021 I was Associate Vice-President (Acting) Research at McMaster University. My areas of research interest lay in the development of next generation semiconductor materials and micro- and nano-devices, and the processing strategies for their production in a high-volume manufacturing environment. I have made significant contributions to the area of highly-integrated silicon photonic circuits fabricated.
