About Andy Liang

Hi, my name is Andy, and I’m a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia! I have over a year of experience working as a full-time Software Developer at Digital Solutions within UBC's Faculty of Medicine. In this role, I’ve used my React, TypeScript, C#.NET and SQL skills to support the education and training of future doctors. I work on building the learning management system (LMS) for undergraduate and postgraduate learners, as well as a platform for managing teaching activities and tracking payments. I also have multiple co-op/internship experiences where I worked as a full stack developer using languages and technologies like React, TypeScript, C#.NET, Entity Framework, SQL, Node, Express, Mongo, GraphQL. Whether it is Frontend or Backend, I really enjoy learning about web development. In my free time, I enjoy building personal web applications to streamline everyday tasks. Most recently, I created a collaborative flipbook app that allows my girlfriend and I to document and share our experiences from the places we visit together (sounds very simple, but I promise I ran into many tough challenges along the way): https://github.com/AndyLiang1/our_story. I have also built a web app to track and calculate my meal prep macros like calories as I love exercising!
