I believe in getting stuff done and focusing on the primary mission of scalable impact by investing and supporting early-stage social entrepreneurs who are eradicating extreme poverty. Founder: ADAP - A Different Approach to Poverty ADAP inclusively invests in and supports early-stage entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to eradicate extreme poverty. We address the “pioneer gap” by investing seed capital (ADAP Capital LLC), and ongoing advisory support (ADAP Advisory LLC) for social-entrepreneurs to have the necessary foundations for long-term sustainable growth ADAP Fund 1 - Closed 11 investments, 2 cash exists, 17% net return; ADAP Fund 2 - 14 investments and currently preparing to deploying capital in additional 5 start-ups. Board Chair & Investor: EcoFix Kenya produces Megalo oil, a certified natural organic oil sourced from the Croton nut, which is indigenous to East Africa. We partner with over farmers living in rural poverty (majority women) providing livelihoods for their families. Megalo oil's first skin care products are being sold by our local brand Nea by Nature within Kenya and our recent report and extensive lab testing from Analytica Industries Ltd has validated its potential to be used internationally. Co-Founder: - A zero-waste, fair-trade sustainable, ethical manufacturing clothing company. Andy, a British national, is a qualified Barrister with a BVC from BPP, Holborn, UK, a Masters Degree in International Development from London-based Middlesex University, and an Undergraduate Degree in Law from University of Southampton. He brings his experience of leading the transformation of grant-giving organizations and has been a leader in the emerging impact investing sector for the last 15 years. Andy has traveled extensively, working with national partners in a variety of sectors throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
