Credit risk analysis is one of my most prominent skills. I have enjoyed it, excelled at it and my experience with well-known residential mortgage and property valuation industry leaders is no less than impressive. Experienced and approachable; a resilient team member who understands values and operations. I am an underwriter that has proven to encourage strong and sound underwriting that believes in driving toward the grey in a world of black and white. I bring my sense of making the deal work while doing what is best for the company in terms of risk appetite, sales, customer service and passion; this is important to me. I have assisted in developing training programs for new and experienced underwriters, coaching mortgage brokers to understand principles and turnaround time as well as being the candidate to support staff with systems, underwriting, documentation fraud detection and appraisal review. As a manager and senior team member I have trained new staff, assisted with implementing new underwriting platforms and have played an integral part in developing new policies and procedures. My personality as a straightforward, honest and approachable individual have given my colleagues a genuine reassuring trust when queried for advice or direction, making team work very welcoming and natural; both professionally and personally. I am able to quickly adapt to changing programs and work load and have developed an organized methodology of keeping an up to date desk while always being a reliable underwriter to the company and to our broker and customer clients. Policy is the basis of our business; it is constantly changing. Keeping a strong up to date knowledge of guidelines and process is what motivates me. I have remained consistent with expected and increasing volumes. Funding numbers, client servicing and clean audit is a driving business force for any company.
