I’m an Engineering Manager with 15 years of success driving technical innovation and excellence through delivery of high-value, high-quality software solutions. As a strategic leader, I excel at navigating ambiguity in environments ranging from startups to industry leading corporations. I’m passionate about developing and establishing high-performing teams, user-centered engineering practices, and mission-aligned cultures that elevate user experiences. At findhelp, I’ve advanced the Quality Engineering organization with a foundational team that supports 50 engineers, automated regression testing processes that boosted efficiency, and a culture of accountability that prioritizes quality requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. I played a key role in developing and implementing onboarding and continuing education curriculum, testing and development processes, and cross-functional relationships that ensure product engineering strategies align with compliance requirements, customer expectations, and best practices in UX. I also led a major, high-risk system upgrade from Python 2 to Python 3, seamlessly managing the Quality Engineering department throughout the transition. Under my leadership, the system upgrade resulted in a 10%+ p98 performance improvement for the company’s top 80% workflows with 0% service disruption. As a strategic communicator, I’m uniquely positioned to translate business objectives into technical requirements and vice versa to drive executive decision making, customer relationships, and subject matter expertise. As a Quality Manager at Epic, I developed and facilitated dozens of trainings on security coordination and cybersecurity for employees and customers to certify qualified system users and support seamless experiences and operations. Additionally, I’ve served as a Principal Presenter at the 2021 and 2022 Epic XGM conferences, effectively communicating key features, functionality, and product value to 1500 attendees.
