About Andy Palmer

An experienced and influential leader in executive and non executive positions including as a CEO and Chair of Board of Trustees. Has Chaired four different Boards and has delivered excellent outcomes in high profile and challenging environments across the housing association and not for profit sectors. Led on the secure management and delivery of several successful mergers and acquisitions and other major change programmes. Current Board has trebled turnover since becoming Chair. Proven strengths in- strategic leadership including the engagement of stakeholders and customers, particularly during times of crisis, leading analytical reviews to foster change - coaching and mentoring, has mentored over 20 middle managers across various sectors and has become highly effective to enable and encourage individuals to achieve their goals, many have since achieved senior management positions- negotiating and securing the delivery of legal, structural and cultural mergers and acquisitions and other substantial change programmes - Governance, Risk management, safeguarding and audit in a wide range of roles - experienced and creative in setting substantial budgets and has considerable practical knowledge of the needs of young adults, especially around safeguarding- fully committed diversity champion, leads by example to create working environments that are fully inclusive. Most of all is determination to encourage service delivery that reflects the expectations of customers and residents and to enable and empower youth decision making.
