About Andy Panayides

Novel experiences throughout my career have inspired creativity and an eagerness to take on new challenges, each one energizing and broadening my perspective. Consistencies among these experiences include leadership, supervision, information management, education, and program development. I am well prepared to take on defined or undefined roles in various settings, ever curious about any emerging needs or ideas. Of note among my work is my exposure to diverse content, environments, and people. In college, I sold and placed ads for a daily newspaper in downtown Manhattan during the turn of century, starting with courier-delivered canisters of film and ending with digital file uploads to FTP sites. I’ve hosted midnight Harry Potter parties and reorganized entire departments at Barnes & Noble stores in Miami and LA, all to support my dream of becoming a rock star. Then I refined that dream by driving coast-to-coast and everywhere in-between introducing, tweaking, and developing a line of classical string instruments and accessories. Next needing to bring meaning to it all, I dove deep into music therapy by completing a master’s degree and logging a decade of clinical practice, supervision, instruction, and service. Perhaps the most unexpected turn occurred when I decided to take on a position overseeing the quality and regulatory affairs of a cryogenic biorepository and stem cell processing lab. I could not have imagined adding to shared musical experiences with exceptional souls by taking a role entertaining FDA inspectors and high-complexity lab surveyors. Now I’m making my way back to the world of music as a contractor and aspiring business owner.
