Background
About Andy Pattinson
Over 30 years experience in the nuclear industry with the last 25 years working almost exclusively in the field of reactor decommissioning. I worked for 7 years on the WAGR decommissioning project where I gained experience in most areas of reactor decommissioning, from hands-on operation through design and development of remotely deployed tooling, to engineering and project management. Working in France since 2005 I led a multi-disciplined and multi-national team of 10 engineers and specialists developing methodologies for the remote dismantling of EDF's fleet of French graphite-moderated (UNGG) reactors as well as reactors in the UK, Japan and Canada. Since 2020, as part of Graphitech's senior management team, I have had project management responsibility for all of the company's international projects, successfully delivering reactor dismantling projects for clients in the UK and in Lithuania. In addition to my project management role, I continue to provide reactor dismantling expertise to several projects.
