Being a strategic and resourceful professional, I have gained over 20 years of progressive experience developing and supervising programs, managing emergency management operations and fire control functions, training and mentoring employees, and overseeing fire prevention and life safety education programs. Utilizing my analytical mindset has enabled me to successfully improve fire department operations and build lifelong professional relationships. Throughout my career, I have identified, researched, analyzed, and collected data to improve operations, training, and strategic planning. While addressing improvements, I recognize performance improvement trends and recommend\implement corrective action and training plans. Leveraging my collaborative skills, I liaise with others to coordinate the improvement of daily activities for the department and improve emergency services. Contributing to many duties, I respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents, utilize incident command system to direct activities and communications in fire and emergency situations, initiate corrective actions to mitigate hazards, and make effective decisions affecting life and property under emergency situations. With knowledge of fire department management and administration theories, practices, and techniques, including budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning, I work to achieve team goals that optimize performance, enhance employee development, and align department goals.
