About Andy Reid

I am a former professional football player whose domestic career in the English leagues and international career with the Republic of Ireland spans across 18 years, playing for the likes of Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton Athletic and Sunderland. I am now keen to make the natural progression into elite level coaching and management. Alongside completing my UEFA A and B Licences with the FAI, I gained crucial coaching experience with Nottingham Forest’s first team - working with the Interim Manager at the time to manage the team’s training and performance in the English Championship. I was able to utilise this experience as an opportunity to gain first team coaching experience while also learning from highly qualified coaches and managers in the game. I am a visible leader and excellent communicator who is highly motivated by achieving visible results. I am able to combine my playing experience and lessons learned with industry qualifications to influence squad performances and provide the necessary support needed to success in the modern game. I am currently undertaking the UEFA Pro license with the football association of Ireland’s coach education team.
