Currently working for Scripps Health as Senior Ruby Software Developer on the Sparkle CMS System. Worked as a Software Engineer/Designer in a small team at Hewlett-Packard developing full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and associated/supporting technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Jenkins, Jekyll, Bootstrap, jQuery and others. Also worked on creating publications for the ePrint-enabled printers using agile methodology and pair programming. Work on architecture, documentation and development of Rest APIs deployed on Amazon Web Services. Manage application deployment with continuous integration via Jenkins and Docker containers to Amazon AWS instances. I previously led the development of a worldwide Web Application for internal use at HP using Agile Methodologies. Requirements were captured using CaliberRM and HP Agile Manager. Defects were tracked using ALM (used to be Quality Center) and revision control was in StarTeam and SVN. Besides being the Product Owner and Technical Lead, I also assisted in Project Management, scheduling, planning, configuration, deployments, testing and debugging. I'm even-keeled and easy to get along with, work well in teams, am driven and competitive, pay attention to details and work hard to get it right. In my spare time, besides spending time with my family, I like spending time outdoors, running, biking, swimming, rock-climbing, skiing, traveling, photography and working on home projects. Some of my accomplishments outside of work I am most proud of: • Multiple 'Big Wall' ascents of El Capitan & Half Dome in Yosemite via various routes. • 3 time Full-Distance Ironman finisher • Ranked All-American triathlete by United States of America Triathlon (USAT) • 2 time Boston Marathon finisher • 2 time Hackathon award winner (see below)
