About Andy Tran

Hi everyone! My name is Andy Tran. Originally, I came from Vietnam, and I have been living in the US for more than 5 years. Actually, I start my career in Computer industry, as well as technology is very random. I remember I got my first computer when I was in 7th grade, and it is a computer with Intel core duo processor. Actually, it is a very good computer for me at that time. I use it almost every time after school to play games, surf the internet or chat with my friends, etc. but sometimes it broke down and didn't post that make me feel very frustrated and have little mad Therefore, I try to troubleshoot and try to fix it. Over time until I grow up, I feel like computers are one of the most fascinating careers that I want to pursue it. Then, I went to a technical school and Can Tho University in Vietnam to study computer engineering then I got a certificate. After that, I worked for several computer repair shops and computer company which provides personal computer, laptops, and gaming computers for about 1 years before I came to the US. Actually, it was a great time for my career in the computer industry because I gained a lot of experience in the industry as well as a lot of great skills such as team management, time management or problem-solving skill, etc. In 2015, I came to the US and I realize that I have to start over in order to achieve my computer engineering career as well as to update my knowledge in the industry, then I go to work and go to school at the same time to get an associate degree in science computer science at ELAC (East Los Angeles College). I understand that sometimes AS degree couldn’t help me get a better position in the industry, but I strongly believe that the knowledge from the college which I had, my work experiences as well as my work attitude will help me sometimes stand out from the crowd. Additionally, I am also a fast learner, and I love to learn new things and I am never afraid of doing new things if I have opportunities. Currently, I am still working forward to pursue my BS degree in Computer Science while I am still working full time as a computer technician. So far, it is a great position for me; however, I still open my mind to find and explore new opportunities for me in the future!
