About Andy Walton

Andy has more than 10 years’ experience in the mining and exploration industry across Australia. His experience covers Wireline Services (Geophysics), Exploration Program Management, Mining Exploration Operations, Scheduling, Logistics and Radiation Safety. Andy's technical and general management background is underpinned by 21 years with the Royal Australian Navy where he specialised in Naval Missile and Medium Range (MR) and Close in Weapons Systems (CIWS) Defence, Multi-Task Scheduling and Crew Readiness and 10 years experience as an Organisation Development Consultant specialising in Organisational Improvement in Transport and Health Services. Most recently Andy has been focused on developing exploration project solutions across the Energy Sector (Coal and Gas) largely in Queensland's Bowen, Galilee and Surat Basins as well as the Gunnedah Basin in NSW. As Exploration Services Manager and Senior Wireline Engineer, Andy's former and current customers include Middlemount South (Foxleigh Mine), Vitrinite (Karin Basin), ROM Resources, Anglo Coal Australia (Moranbah North/South, Capcoal, Dawson and Callide), Rio Tinto Coal (Clermont, Blair Athol, Hail Creek, Kestrel), Aquila Resources (Eagle Downs), GVK Hancock Prospecting (Kevin's Corner), Cockatoo Coal (Baralaba), Vale Coal Australia (Degulla, Belvedere, Carborough Downs), Carabella Resources (Mabbin Creek, BMR), Ellensfield Coal (Ellensfield), Metroof Industries (Sagittarius Project), Bowen South Management (Rolleston South, Saraji West) and U&D Coal (Stockyard Creek).
