About Andy Wood

I have specialised in Corporate Recovery and Insolvency since 1992, passing my JIEB Insolvency exams in 1997 and ultimately taking appointments from January 2002. I was Chairman of R3 Yorkshire & Humberside Region (the trade association for Insolvency Practitioners) from 2008 to 2010 and stepped down from the local committee in 2011, having served for over 10 years on the committee.I specialise in corporate advice and my starting point is always,"Can I save the business?"​. I have a wealth of experience from both large multi million pound turnover companies to small owner managed businesses and the key is to treat all businesses both large and small with the same level of respect. I am a good listener and show empathy when dealing with owners who find themselves in difficult situations as this is imperative in ensuring that I understand the full picture, before I give the appropriate advice.At Wilson Field, we have 7 Insolvency Practitioners currently with a further addition due in October 2015. We have a mixture of long established appointment takers as well as newly qualified IP's which allows our business model to evolve with the ever demanding requirements of our profession. I bring to Wilson Field a wealth of business contacts in terms of accountancy, bank, solicitors and ABL's and believe I will be able to complement the existing offering of Wilson Field who have been operating in the profession for over 20 years.
