About Andy Young

After my HND traveled to Barcelona to work with Mercedes Benz, later that year I returned to the UK with plans to open my own 4x4 off-road driving centre. It opened 1993 & in 1995 I secured an exclusive contract with the Government to use acres of forest on the North Yorkshire Moors.During the next 13 years I expanded the activities to include quad bikes, Unimog driving, Argocat rides and alike. The site too grew to over acres. 10 years in I finally obtained permanent Planning Permission for the site - a first in a UK National Park.Over 1.2 million off road driving hours were provided during the first 10 years & Corporate functions (team building, Press launch days and product testing) for companies including Nissan, Land Rover, Skoda, Ford, Daimler Benz, Nestle, Kellogs, McDonnalds, Nandos to mention a few.The ownership and management of such a unique, diverse and exciting company, turning a dream into reality, being the best of the best, gave me a unique skills set. At the end of 2008 I made the difficult decision to leave the UK and explore beyond Europe. New Zealand has seen me add to my skills in a range of Management and team leader positions, the past 3 and a half years, a Lecturer for Transport Technology.I'm a diverse, multi skilled, hands-on, lead by example, take no prisoners kind of a guy. Always looking for a new challenge and prepared to take risks provided of course that the rewards are there!So.if you need to get the job done, be it getting a fleet of vehicles across some of the most inhospitable terrain in the World or training up a group of drivers for an off-road expedition or maybe just someone who can energise, focus and develop a group of individuals, molding them into a team prepared to go all the way to get the results you need then maybe, just maybe you need someone like me on your team.
