About Aneissa Bains
Since childhood, I have had a fascination with how the human body works. It is no wonder that I am in the second-year of my BSc. Kinesiology degree, and hoping to pursue opportunities in the healthcare field. As a former National Canadian League water polo player, athletics shaped me into a hard-working, ambitious team-player. After injury, I took these skills back to the pool to teach swim lessons and coach junior water polo players, as well as improve my proficiency in first aid as a lifeguard. I am developing my leadership skills through my most recent position as aquatic team leader, and my next mission is to work towards my First Aid Instructor certification. The combination of my clinical, aquatic and teaching experience have prepared me for all kinds of opportunities and will allow me to quickly adapt and thrive in any environment.
