About Anesu Chirunga

I am currently working as Behaviour Support Practitioner, I have extensive experience in the disability and complex mental health field. I have a clear understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by individuals living with disabilities and their families. I have a passion for helping others and this led me to working in my current role as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. My role involves assessing individuals with challenging behaviours in the environments that they spend most of their time and with the people they spend most of their time with, it also includes developing personalised interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans to address challenging behaviours and promote positive outcomes using a person centered social model. I have worked with individuals across a diverse range of age groups, abilities and backgrounds. I take great pride in providing tailored and evidence-based interventions that support my clients to achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life. As a practitioner, I hold a firm belief that collaboration and teamwork make for a strong foundation when it comes to successfully supporting participants and their families. I work closely with other healthcare professionals to achieve a holistic approach to behaviour management and have clients at the center of their care.
