Recently switched up my career to Marketing and I’m learning so much! My core job functionality is utilizing our Marketo database to send out mailers, drive lead gen, event registration & /or OnDemand landing pages & inputting the content & necessary digital assets for each event. I'm still <1 year with SirsiDynix (SD), and thus, still absorbing every marketing tool SD uses to help drive success through webinars I help coordinate, lead generation and much more! I still have so much to learn about the marketing world and the tools SD uses to remain successful. At this point in time, I would consider my current Marketing experience entry-level to intermediate since this was a whole new career change I made. But I LOVE Marketing Operations role I'm doing and it's been a refreshing change of pace learning about the ways in which marketing can help influence a brand, drive lead generation and more. Prior to my recent career switch I had 17 years of call center business management experience with a focus on data entry, data accuracy & product research for a Fortune 500 technology enterprise focusing on the B2B market. While data entry and analysis was the key workload, we also supported incoming & outgoing calls, IVR management, chat and email support (including email blasts) & had a team of social media reps who posted hardware-based articles on 10 major technology sites used globally. I was graced with an energetic team of tech-savvy profiles and with ongoing grooming, my team attrition never exceeded 6% annually, over the 17 years I lead that phenomenal staff base. Beyond the critical success of retaining an incredible staff, my other day-to-day responsibilities ranged from product development, financial performance (month-end close, billing/invoicing), executive administration, marketing & event coordination, regular travel hosting events for this teach industry leader & of course, expense reporting. I was appointed as our Employee Engagement Team Leader for our large campus (700+ FTE) due to my departments continuously high retention rates. When faced with a challenge either internally or from the client, critical operational plans were analyzed, outlined & executed so that KPI results were strategically beneficial, deliberate and made a positive disruption in the computer hardware market space.
