Lead analyst of a Cyber Protection Team (CPT), responsible for analyzing computer network traffic using SIEMs, specifically Splunk and Kibana. Configured, deployed, and tuned network sensors using the Linux distribution Security Onion. Analyzed various types of data, including network packets, Zeek logs, Suricata alerts, Syslog, Windows Event IDs, PowerShell-Operational logs, and other Windows channels. Prepared daily reports highlighting interesting and abnormal network observations for multiple combatant command enclaves. Provided junior analysts with training, mentoring, and guidance. Looking to carryover my current specialization as a network analyst and broaden host analysis skills. Got into cybersecurity in high school when studying material for CompTIA's Sec+ certification. I also tried out computer science briefly and found security more interesting. I joined the US Army to help out my family and train up as a Cyber Operations Specialist. I graduated top 25% of my class, then got stationed at the Cyber Protection Brigade on Ft. Gordon.
