About Angel Roman

Hello, my name is Angel Roman and I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor in Information Technology, with a concentration in Software Development. My journey in the field of IT began after I finished my Bachelor in Criminal Justice, which I completed in 2012. I fell in love with programming and decided to further my education in the field, even as I pursued a career in law enforcement. I continued to take IT classes to deepen my knowledge, and in 2021, I decided to fully commit to becoming a Software Engineer. I graduated with my Bachelor in IT in 2022, and I am now eager to put my skills to use in a professional setting. I bring a diverse background to the table, including 5 years of service in the United States Marine Corps where I worked on electronic countermeasures for all Marine Corps helicopters and 6 years of Law Enforcement experience. My military and law enforcement background has helped me develop team-building and problem-solving skills, as well as an understanding of working with multiple departments and federal agencies. I bring a mindset of wonder and a passion for solving problems, whether working in a team or taking on solo projects. I don't have a programming background, which allows me to approach problems with fresh perspective and new ideas. I have a proven ability to adapt to change and learn quickly, making me an asset to any team. I believe that the most successful teams are made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and I hope to bring my unique perspective to yours.
