About Angel Schewe

Hello, my name is Angel Schewe, and I am a fourth-year student at Simpson College. I am majoring in English and Educational Studies with a minor in Honors. After graduation, I plan on teaching English in a high school or middle school. My love of learning and helping others has inspired me to become a teacher as it allows me to help individuals grow both academically and socially, all while forming meaningful relationships with them. After teaching for a few years, I hope to get my Master's Degree and Doctorate in order to provide my students with the best possible education I can give them. On campus, I am involved in numerous organizations and clubs such as the Honor's Program, Secretary of SC Scholars, Wesley Service Scholar, Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Team, Assistant Manager of Holy Grounds Coffee Shop, Writing Consultant, SC Leader, and Vice President of Operations for Pi Beta Phi. These organizations helped me build upon essential, transferable skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, time management, creativity, critical thinking, and more. These skills will allow me to contribute and flourish in whatever environment I am exposed to. I have also been able to use these involvements to build connections that have led to campus job opportunities that will enhance my remaining education and future career path. Being involved in numerous activities and finding success as a full-time college student demonstrates that I am dedicated and hardworking. Once I commit to something, I will follow through and put forth my best effort. I am dependable as my teachers, peers, coaches, and teammates trust me to show up on time and contribute to the betterment of the group. These traits will stay with me throughout all my endeavors and will help me navigate the rest of my educational and professional career.
