Co-Lead for the Creative and Cultural Industries Academic Theme and Research Centre at the University of Derby. Experienced academic and artistic researcher with a demonstrated history of publishing, curating, and exhibiting, and working in higher education and the creative and cultural industries. Holds a PhD in Fine Art & Visual Culture from Middlesex University. Vice President of the Society for Artistic Research Executive Board (elected board member from 2018; VP from 2024), Council for Higher Education in Art and Design Research Alliance Strategy Group member, National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange Collaborations Champion (from 2021), UKRI Talent Peer Review College member (from 2023), Trustee of the Board of Directors for the Live Art Development Agency (from 2023), and Contemporary Visual Arts Network East Midlands Steering Group member (from 2017; Chair 2019-2022). Experienced evaluator, peer reviewer and rapporteur (at an international level). Includes funding reviews for interdisciplinary culture and innovation projects covering the spectrum of artistic research and its involvement within adjacent and other areas (e.g, medicine)(e.g, for Austrian Science Fund, UKRI, and Swiss National Science Fund, EIT Culture and Creativity, UKRI).
