About Angela Gituara

I have over 10 years’ experience in project administration, financial management, budgeting, training and provision of technical assistance in development programs. I have extensive experience in all stages of project life cycle relating to both government institutions and humanitarian work, working with refugees (Based at Kakuma camp) and host community populations. I have implemented, supervised and facilitated programs in Education, Health, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene promotion. I have experience working with public and private sectors. I have also manged to work closely with the community at grassroots levels through capacity building programs and other educational initiatives. I have worked in Kenya, Uganda, Zanzibar and Ethiopia at various capacities. My other skills include staff capacity, team building and negotiations, conflict resolution and excellent communication skills. I have experience working with multicultural teams and also competent in initiating collaboration and maintaining networks with stakeholders, including international, government departments and local implementing partners. I have excellent communication skills and dissemination of research findings to various audience and stakeholders. I leverage my background in research to collect issues in the development sphere and try and come up with thriving solutions. Countries of Professional Experience: • Kenya • Zanzibar • Ethiopia • Uganda Other extra curricular activities that I love to engage in include but are not limited to travelling to new places, cook and host family gatherings, and working with the church where I hold the position of treasure for the Young Adult Group that brings together young people aged between 27 and 35. I also like learning new skills in various MOOC programs to garner new and exciting skills that will tremendously impact how I work.
