Angela brings to the table 10+ years of experience in Industrial and Pipeline Construction Safety inspection and management of safety programs, systems, and practices to ensure compliance with the client’s requirements, industry standards, and government regulations, with a reputation for being a solid influence as a Refined OHS Certified Safety Inspector and Advisor. She carries the capacity to strategically collaborate with key personnel, contractors, and stakeholders for the improvement of operations to achieve business objectives. Angela is passionate about self-care/self-development including continuously learning leadership development, running, and meditation. She maintains a balanced lifestyle to ensure good mental and physical health. Creating an abundant life, rather than one of scarcity. Being an empathetic listener engaged in what motivates workers to make at-risk or safe decisions. Developing leadership skills on motivating the workforce to buy into a strong safety culture. This passion brings mindfulness to decision-making at work. It fosters the dedication to being approachable, trusted, and engaged with all workers. Angela enjoys fostering relationships with the workforce while cultivating a message of building a strong safety culture. She understands the challenge of intervening on at-risk behaviours, hazards, or negative observations in a workforce that consists of 5 generations with various experience levels and risk tolerances. An appreciation for the learnings these interventions provide on being aware of how to actively engage workers and to consistently approach with a positive, respectful, and principled attitude. On an educational front, Angela has completed her Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety UNB and has continuously developed herself by attending different safety leadership-related courses. She is currently pursuing the International NEBOSH Diploma. Angela continues to be focused on improving her position as a reliable advisor, developing her cutting-edge skills in Safety Inspection and Management. She takes personal satisfaction in tackling new challenges with a competitive edge as she advances her career within an ever-changing industry. She welcomes positions in alignment with her present career ambitions, such as a Field Safety Inspector, Field Safety Advisor, or International OHS Advisor.
